A hot AF wolf who could make me howl all night long. A persistent gold coin with dubious intentions. And a magical whammy no one saw coming.

Hello, gentle reader (or online stalker). My name is Teremie—yes, it’s a T, not a J, thanks for asking—Summers. Maybe you’ve seen me on Only Fae. I play the sexpot elf of your dreams.

Through a bizarre turn of events, I end up cast as an elf in an upcoming epic fantasy film—even though my acting skills are mainly of the “fae for pay” online variety.

My co-star is the once-cute-teen-star, turned smokin’ hot, all grown up, wolf-shifter Kade Savage. He’s gentle, honorable, and he doesn’t care about my past mistakes.

All great, right? Well . . .there are a couple of teensy tiny roadblocks to my happily-ever-after. See, wolves don’t date non-wolves. It’s a thing. And, oh, yeah, he’s straight. Which is fine. I’m perfectly okay with it. My track record is so poor that I might as well be running backward. So, it’s a little crush. What’s the harm?

But before long I catch him giving me big-bad-wolf eyes when he thinks I’m not looking. His low, growly voice makes my heart beat a little faster and sends tingles down my spine and on a one-way trip to my nether regions. Just when the UST between us is about to erupt, we end up in a fantasy scene so real it would make Peter Jackson jealous. What in the Lord of the Rings alternate dimension is this?! We have to rely on each other—and a contrary magical coin—to show us that “home” isn’t a place so much as where the heart is.

So incredibly sweet and sexy!

I loved both MC’s in this book. You’ve got one downtrodden, but sweet cynic and one cinnamon roll and they are so sweet together!
I loved that Teremie felt no shame for the lengths that he had to go to survive and he owned that s**t. And that Kade just accepted him as he was. The story kept me guessing and the sexy times were hot af.
Michael Ferraiuolo does an amazing job as usual. He’s in my top three favorite narrators and his narration of this book just confirms that.

Excellent Fun

I loved this book! Teremie was awesome, as was Kade. I found them interesting and I felt the chemistry. The lead up to the climax was well done and I loved the little hints that things weren’t what they seemed. The antagonists were a little one dimensional but it worked with the fantasy of the story.

I hope we eventually get Ali and Rory’s story too, as this one left me with a huge smile!

I was able to read this first and even though it was fresh in my mind, I still loved how it unfolded and noticed extra details. Michael Ferraiuolo was perfect for the narrator. His accents were on point!

Magic and mayhem

Teremie always seems to end up in not so good situations.
His best friend Rory, thankfully, is always by his side.
When Teremie finds a gold coin, luck is suddenly on his side, and they end up on the set of the hottest new movie.
There, he meets his new costar, his teen crush Kade.
As they work together, there's definitely plenty of chemistry between them, both on and off screen.
There's plenty of fast-paced action, danger, intrigue, magic, and lots of humorous moments.
Michael Ferraiuolo did an amazing job narrating and bringing these characters to life.

Really enjoyed it!

I really loved the first 2/3-or maybe 3/4-of the book. I didn't really care about the climax though.

The story was at its best when the plot was focusing on two actors falling in love on set and the coin telling good or bad luck depending on which face it fell on-the dragon or the raven.

I didn't really care about the "we end up in a fantasy scene so real it would make Peter Jackson jealous" part of the plot. The more these moments happened, the more the story was losing me and its charm; for me, the climax is when the story jumped the shark.
Without this part of the plot, my rating would have been higher.

In short, despite an ending I didn't care for, the book was still very good!

Meghan Maslow has once again knocked one out of the park.

Fae for Pay is a mostly light and funny fantasy with great MCs and a cast of secondary characters that are just fun to be around.

The author appeared to experience some troubles when writing this book, and unfortunately it does show. The story is not as tight as I'd usually expect from this author. Things happen and show up in the story that aren't really explained, and there are a few loose ends that remain at rhe end of the story.

However, it's still 100% enjoyable, and the audio took it to the next level. Michael Ferraiuolo once again demonstrated his genius in bringing this cast to life

This story grabbed my attention and wouldn't ley go. Despite being light, it wasn't shallow, with some beautiful emotional moments.

I shed, a tear was brought to my eye, but most importantly I laughed and finished with a huge smile.

Highly Recommended!!!
